Whose tears were witnessed by none but the well, the date palm, and the moon.

A caring father who shared in the sighs of every orphaned child,

And bore the sorrows of all upon his soul.

Yet, none were aware of his alienation and the pains within his heart,

A thorn in the eye, a bone stuck in the throat...

امشب، شب ناله در فراق پدری مهربان است

که غیر از چاه و نخل و ماه، کسی گریه اش را ندیده بود

پدری دل سوز که با آه همه کودکان یتیم شریک بود

ولی کسی از غربت او و دردهای دلش

با خاری در چشم و استخوانی در گلو، خبر نداشت. . .
